Rewrite Your Story, Change Your Life

January 16, 20251 min read

We all carry stories within us—narratives that shape how we see ourselves and the world around us. Sometimes, these stories empower us. But other times, they hold us back in ways we might not even realize.

For years, I told myself a story that I didn’t even know was there. It was an old tale, rooted in guilt and self-doubt, that stemmed from a traumatic experience in my youth. That story shaped every part of my life, from my personal relationships to my performance on the mound. Despite living my childhood dream as a Major League Baseball player, I couldn’t shake the feeling of emptiness and underachievement.

This insight comes from one of our Inner Circle trainings, designed to help us uncover and rewrite the stories we live by.

Here’s what I learned:

  1. Awareness is Key: What old stories are you holding onto? Take a moment to reflect. Are they helping you grow, or are they keeping you stuck?

  2. Repetition Shapes Reality: The stories we tell ourselves over and over become the truth our subconscious believes. 100% of our subconscious is filled up by the repetition of a thought If you want to change your story, you need to repeat a new one—every day.

  3. You Are Not Your Past: Your past doesn’t define you. It’s never too late to rewrite your narrative and step into the person you’re meant to be.

Take a moment to ask yourself: What is one story you’re ready to let go of? Write down the version of your life you want to live. Write out your Championship Statement every single morning for one year. Then, read it every day—morning, noon, and night. This simple exercise can help you reprogram your subconscious and unlock a new level of potential.

Your next chapter starts now.
